…and so are the results.
Chris, Vince and Steve had a load of fun at the first TLI summer race up at North Weald, Tom Haines came 4th at in Tuesday’s Beastway MTB racing at Hog Hill and Callum Stewart won the 234 race at Monument Cycling’s Spring Crits on Thursday.
On Saturday, Wayne Crombie ventured south of the river to collect a haul of firsts and seconds in the 2019 Herne Hill Vets League, retaining the League Leader’s jersey he picked up with several wins in last month’s event.

Two ELV braved the Fred Whitton not-a-race on Sunday. Ollie Williams made an impressively strong debut, completing the 114 mile x 3,900m course in 7 hours 9 minutes and placing 154th out of 2204 riders, well inside the top 10% of finishers.
Hill climb and Fred Whitton stalwart Callum Stewart channelled the number of the beast, completing the course in 6hrs and 6 minutes to take 6th place. Callum is having an amazing season so far, and with recent road and crit wins, is now a 2nd cat.

Closer to home, eight of us enjoyed a super sunny Essex club run on Sunday and we’re looking forward to some racing at North Weald and Redbridge this week. See you there.
